All That Glitters
Follow the Leader
Kaylie, Emily, and Lauren are welcomed home from Nationals with a victory parade. As the 1st place champion, Kaylie wants some time to herself, but her new manager MJ has other plans for her such as photoshoots, interviews, and meetings with sponsors. Lauren wants to be friends with Kaylie again, but Kaylie hasn't forgiven her for sleeping with Carter.
Meanwhile, Payson recovers from her back injury at home, assuring everyone that's she's okay, but her friends and family are worried about her. At the Rock, Lauren is determined to knock Kaylie down a notch and she goes out of her way to get Carter back at the Rock, knowing that Carter's presence at the gym will be enough to not only upset Kaylie, but distract her from training.
Kim decides to take a leave of absence from the Rock, leaving Summer as the co-manager of the gym. Nicky worries that he's responsible for Payson's injury, but Payson tells him she never took the cortisone and there's a syringe of it in her locker at the Rock. Lauren overhears their conversation unbeknownst to them.
Kaylie visits Payson for advice, but Payson is upset that Kaylie would even ask her which causes Kaylie to leave in tears. Later that evening, Payson destroys all her awards and trophies from gymnastics, letting out her anger.
Meanwhile, Damon is leaving for Los Angeles and wants to have one more romantic evening with Emily before he leaves. It's interrupted when Razor comes back and finds the two of them together. Damon admits that he's been in contact with Emily, but he never told him about their relationship with each other.
The next day, Payson confidently returns to the Rock, receiving a warm welcome from Sasha and her teammates. She tells Kaylie that she won Nationals fair and square. As things seem to be calming down, Nicky discovers the vial of cortisone is missing from Payson's locker and notices Lauren standing near him. Lauren was the one who took the cortisone out of Payson's locker.
